It takes a strong commitment to a healthy diet and frequent exercise. Now, you don't have to eat lettuce and run on the treadmill for 3 hours a day, but you do need to change the way you think about eating and exercise.

The best ways to lose fat for women include changing your diet. What you need to do is try and eat 5 or 6 small meals a day consisting of vegetables, fruits, lean meats, and whole grains. Also, you want to include lots of fiber and monounsaturated fatty acids (also known as MUFAs). If you include just fiber and MUFAs in your diet you can lose more than twice as much fat as women who don't include this in their diet.

Fiber is great because it takes your body longer to digest which means you stay fuller longer and eat less. Plus it keeps your digestion regular. MUFAs actually TARGET belly fat and help with lowering cholesterol.

A diet rich in olive oil, whole grains, DARK CHOCOLATE :), brown or wild rice, avocado, nuts, dark greens, leafy greens, lean meats, fish, and skim milk can help you not only lose weight but keep it off for life.

The best ways to lose fat for women must include exercise. And the right exercise for you is one that you enjoy doing. Don't try to go out and run 5 miles a day if you don't like running. You'll only burn yourself out and quit too soon. Find an activity that you enjoy and can do over the course of your life. Do you like tennis? How about gardening? What about swimming? Yoga? Boxing? Bicycling? There are all kinds of activities that you can enjoy that can help you get the exercise you need to lose the extra fat. It's all about choosing what you like so you can do it frequently without getting tired of it.
